The task was to create elegant but eye-catching marine-themed prints and patterns for textile design.
I started off by drawing the elements with markers as I love working with non-digital materials, plus I intended to make use of the paper texture and ink blending effects. Eventually, I changed my mind and digitized all my artwork before combining the elements into patterns digitally.
Here is a short video of sketchbook pages with objects I wanted in my design conveying the atmosphere of tranquility and recreation, sense of being in love and discovery of breathtaking mysteries just a swimming distance from your quiet harbour.
